Lisa Kevis brings 30 years of teaching experience to Willow Pilates. A former modern dancer, she worked for years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Lisa holds a BS in Education, a MA in Psychological Counseling and is an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer. She completed her comprehensive 500 hour Pilates training with Embody Pilates in NYC and opened Willow Pilates in 2009.
There is no separating our physical health from our emotional health. When we are strong and in control of our bodies it affects our moods and how we feel about ourselves in the world. Joseph Pilates developed a remarkable method of exercise that revitalizes and strengthens the body. My clients stand taller, move with grace and control and regularly report how Pilates affects their lives outside the studio. For some that means relief from back pain. For others it is a better golf score or faster running time. And some clients marvel that they have regained the ability to garden, climb stairs or carry groceries with ease. It is a privilege for me to witness the changes my clients experience through Pilates.
